Reiman Gardens Membership

Thinking about taking the family over to Reiman Gardens? You probably have to think twice about it when you see that it costs $7 per adult over 18 and $3 for kids 4-17. You could easily spend $20 for a family of 4 for 45 minutes of fun...then what if your kids really like it and want to go back again?

Consider buying a household membership for the year at $55.
Reiman Gardens Membership
It's good for a whole year and you can still visit the butterfly gardens and the indoor garden through the winter (although I think the butterfly garden is closed for a bit). Trust me, this is much more entertaining for kids (and adults) than hanging out at the Burger King playland in the winter! Grandparents can also buy this household pass to bring along all of their grandparents for free.

It's a great place for younger kids, especially the kids garden and butterfly garden.

Party Supplies Going Out of Business Sale

Nevada, Iowa has a party supply store that is going out of business and everything is marked right now at 40% off. I got a call about this, but don't even know the name of the store right now. I'll update this as soon as I do. I'm guessing that the prices will keep dropping too. Sorry that I don't have more info right now!

Super Savings Cards

For $10 you can buy yourself a Super Savings Card for Ames that will save you much more than $10 over the year. It's good until 3/1/11

Best yet if you buy it from a kid, $8 of every $10 goes strait to help kids go to the national Evangelical Free Church conference.

Kid's Eat Free (or Cheap) Night

Where to go with kids when you don't want to pay! All these deals are good with a paying adult.

I need help keeping this updated so if you know of anything let me know!

Sundays:
Legend's American Grill-Kids Eat Free (or any day when kids wear sports outfits, so throw your ISU sweatshirts in the car and head over)

Tuesday Nights:
Perkins-Kids Eat Free after 4pm

Valentino's-Kids Eat Free night

This is a great place to take young kids anyway, as it is $ .60 per year for them to eat and they have a great buffet that your kids will love (including mac and cheese pizza).
On Tuesdays, they really do it up for Kids Eat Free night. Not only do they eat free, but they get to make their own personal sized pizzas from 5:30-7:30pm to bring home and bake later, so really it's 2 free meals!

VF Outlet in Story City

Don't forget that we have an outlet mall just 10 miles North of Ames, VF Outlet.

Stores include the main VF store (selling Jansport, Vanity Fair, Wrangler (Brett Favre's favorite), Lee, and Nautica).

They also have a Factory Brand Shoes store, a Bass store, a party supply store, a kitchen store, and a Danskin, and probably others I can't remember.

If you're going to do big shopping at VF (need some new underwear, perhaps) here's a coupon to print and use for $10 off a $100 purchase:

Coupons Hobby Lobby and JoAnn's

First, never pay full price at Hobby Lobby! If' it's not already on sale for 50% off, and you can't wait until the next week for it to most likely be marked 50% off, you can always print off a coupon online for 40% a regular priced item and bring it in. The coupons are only good for one week so you have to print a new one each week you want to use it.
http://hobbylobby.com/weekly/coupon.cfm

Also, if you are going to JoAnn's, they almost always have 40% off coupons in their weekly ads. They keep their ads in the front of the store, usually between the two sets of doors. Sometimes they run out later in the week. So earlier in the week you have a better chance of saving.
